# Emissions: Deflationary

STELLA Emissions will be an integral part of veSTELLA aside from voting and deciding where STELLA is rewarded. The number of STELLA tokens awarded per epoch will be set in advance with **dilution protection;** a declining STELLA amount per epoch will be implemented.  

This means that STELLA will be deflationary with every epoch. Emissions will decrease by 0.25% weekly. This means lesser STELLA distributed to pools with time.

Emission will be set every epoch (1 week), starting with 40,000 STELLA per day and reducing by 0.25% every epoch.&#x20;
